Haruka Shimada was originally promoted to the original Team 4. From September 2, 2011 to January 4, 2012 she served as Captain. During the 2012 Tokyo Dome Reformation she was transferred to Team K.

Haruu came into AKB48 with an ideal of what it meant to be an idol. Give of yourself for the group, for the team and for the fans. She perhaps more than most members understands this. Haruu gives so much of herself it comes natural.
