Description
Relapsing,
eyes tearing,
screen glowing.
I can't tear myself away
from myself
and all the pain.
All I want is to feel
all the grief
I can.
As though it were
all meant for just my heart,
I pull it in,
closer,
closer,
until my hands are cold
and my chest aches,
but it's not enough.
I need to feel the tears
and the knot in my throat,
to know
that all the sadness
is here inside.
The music plays,
I hardly listen,
except to cry,
I can't focus.
My homework is due,
and I'm nowhere close,
but somehow I can't turn
myself to face it.
It's just too much.
I think I'll collapse
and soon,
the rain will surround
me and so much lonely sadness
will be the closest I get
to bliss.
