Description A maiko who is nearly ready to become a full geiko - she wears an entirely white collar, showing her seniority. She's probably around 20. If anyone can find out her name or the name of her okiya from the symbol on her obi, I'd be most appreciative! I was too distracted by the gorgeous fabrics to catch the maiko's names.

Edit: According too ~mahiro-chan her name is Miharu.

Thanks! I can't believe all the beautiful kimono these girls get to wear. I love the hair decorations too, I only wish they weren't so prone to causing pain and bald spots. (!)

You're very welcome! Yes, they are really beautiful, aren't they? My aunt worked as an English teacher in Tokyo for many years, and she said the different kimonos and styles was utterly amazing. Oh wow, well I can imagine the pain, because some of the decorations do look a bit heavy, but bald spots I never would have thought of, poor girls.
