I, uh, don't actually have the pattern saved. My computer crashed sometime after I posted this. I just looked at the shape of the character's bodies and drew the outline a little larger. Be sure to make the head long for when you wrap the wire around the neck. Wiring tips? Er...use pliers to shape it and flatten down the ends?

Sorry, but this was special for a friend, and I don't think I'll be working on more dolls anytime soon.

A local art specialty store. They were a little less than a dollar each.

Erm...Greens. Like I said, it's local. It's not a chain store so I doubt you'll find that exact one in your area. If there's a specialty art store near where you live, I'd try there.

well do by any chance live in southern California? Or do you know what type of pen nib you used?

Suki-kitty In reply to goth-of-whoville [2010-01-27 02:18:48 +0000 UTC]
Nope. I don't think the type matters that much, so long as you use one of a decent size that opens like that.

so cute , I have to make a doll for my art class, how long did it take to do this?

Suki-kitty In reply to Randee95 [2010-01-02 22:51:53 +0000 UTC]
Well, I did it over the period of a few weeks, so...altogether maybe four or five hours. It's good to have some lee-way time for corrections.

Was it hard? and did you hand sow it?

Some parts with the wire took a lot of working. I also didn't follow the tutorial perfectly, like cutting the arms separate and leaving the head open when I turned it inside out. I do recommend using a sewing machine for most of the outline, unless you happen to be really, really good at hand sewing.

Okay where can I get Sculpey ? Is that something I can find at walmart or an art shop or am I going to have to go all over town to find it?

If you have a Michaels nearby, I recommend that. That's where I got mine. I have no idea if Walmart would have it, but you can try.

You mean Lily-pily? The only thing I added were the pen nibs for fingers, but that was because it was 6. Other than that, I just skipped some of her steps that either weren't applicable or I didn't see them as necessary.
(H-honto?! O.O The head's too small. Maybe because I used my own template...?)

With the pens nibs, you should probably look for a specialty art store. It's the only place I could find any.
