This boy is absolutely adorable, he determination in his eyes makes me smile.
Great Black and white photography, the shades and tints of this photo really bring out the depth and composition, pulling it together.

Thank you so much, he is rather adorable -- of course he's mine, so I'll say it forever.. even on days with 12 temper tantrums.
Thanks again for commenting!!

This is so adorable! It reminds me of driving on my dad's lap in preschool.

Contrast
The contrast on this picture is wonderful. This is a sweet moment, it should have a soft contrast so as not to dramatize the image. Good.
Angle
The angle is level, which evokes curiosity, and balanced judgment. This adds to the feel of the kid doing something new, and the viewer is intrigued, and possibly finds it cute. A little higher might have worked with the 'he's cute' theme better.
Saturation/filters
Saturation cannot be read in black and white. The filter is black and white. The filter makes the image seem very simple, straightforward, and lacking deeper meaning. Saying something like 'what is, is.' This works alright, the kid isn't forced up there, he's not trying to do anything but figure out what he can. I think sepia would have made the image look more like a childhood photo being looked back upon, a soft blue filter can make it look more like a calm, childish investigation, really any filter could change the mood of the pic.
Impact
I personally hate kids, I find most of them to be whiny little snots. That didn't translate in the picture. The kid looks genuinely curious and not causing trouble; demanding something do what it doesn't or trying to get something out of this. Dare I say, it might actually be adorable...somewhat.
Originality
Kids playing in the car/truck/vehicle. That's really common, but it's really rare that it's a quality picture. Most parents get their kids in a bratty pose, screaming and laughing because the cat jumped off the hood when he honked and so he honks over and over again, grating on everyone's nerves. It's rare the kids looks calm, or just curious. Not over the top as kids often are. So there is a fair bit of originality.
Focus/blur
The kid is in focus, the vehicle interior is in focus, everything else is not. That is perfect. There is nothing to distract us from the scene.
