Beautiful mask. Altho I have to say, you must have seen a poor version of it. (The movie is only OK, not fantastic). I haven't heard of many people NOT impressed with Phantom. Even folks who are not into musical theater are least impressed by the scale of it, lol. Better luck next time! And make sure you try another time!

i went to a matinee show, and there were a bunch of substitutes. it was mainly christine who i wasn't impressed with. the phantom was awesome, and so was carlotta

Yeah, I think I cried. I really liked the phantom and think Christine should have stayed with him. Raoul was just ..weird (and in the movie his hair is silly )

Yes, it would have been nice if she'd fallen in love with her captor. I didn't much like Raoul at all either; he's rather boring and a less tasteful character as the Phantom, who is much more mysterious than the latter. But, if she had chose the Phantom then I suppose the story would not be quite the story it is, all what with the flash backs and what not.

The stage version of Raoul is better, in my opinion. The movie version is a wimp.
