I got a lot of request lately to do the eye from The Host by Stephenie Meyer, so I thought I try it out! I actually liked The Host a lot - it seemed to have....a better writing style than the Twilight series. I like the Twilight series, or more just the first one, the ones after it...were both boring and annoying! That's how I felt at least. They were ok...but I've read much better. But I did love the first one in the series, even if it is cliche.I recommend downloading this one - I'm really happy with the amount of detail in this picture! The top eyelashes are a little blurry, but that happens. (My skin is all bumpy-lookin'!)
Anyways, enjoy! And of course, it's my eye
Oh, and one more thing I use a Nikon CoolPix S600 camera for all my pictures.

Awesome picture! The Host is one of my favorites. She said she's coming out with a sequel and it will be a trilogy, so keep your fingers crossed! Oh, and I do agree, Stephanie Meyer wrote the Twilight books in a bland way... ANYWAYS, great picture again and I love your eye hahaha

I loved the movie! Planning on reading the book very soon. I personally loved the Twilight series but I also think that a change in writing styles when writing a separate series/book is always good. Terrific job <3

I definitely agree with you about the change in writing styles. I honestly didn't like the Twilight series at all. It actually made me laugh more than anything. But the Host is one of my favorite books. I was amazed that Stephanie Meyer could actually write such different books.

First off, let me say, this is very beautiful and you are an excellent artist. But in The Host, the inside of the pupil is silver, not the iris around the edge of the pupil. You know, because the pupil is actually a hole in the eye, and the silver is a filament of the "soul" that controls the eye therefore the filament can be seen through the pupil. Still looks great, though ^.^ I'm sorry if you are offended in any way by this, I always find that constructive criticism helps people become better artists.

I don't know. All I know is that I read the book... the silver only shows when you shine a light directly into the eye and the soul reflects the light, otherwise you don't see the silver.

i found some weird mistakes in the text, the last one I saw was a lette missing from a word and I even saw a sentence that didn't make sense (word missing) but this is in the dutch translation

I'm currently reading this book(I think I have about 6 chapters left) and this is just too cool! It's more of a gold color than the silver it says in the book, but cool all the same!

I agree with you completely. I just finished reading The Host for the second time, and the writing is so much better than the Twilight series that it's surprising. It's an excellent book; one of my faves!
