I really wish that they would make a badass Link like this, take the series for at least one iteration in a much more dark and mature direction similar to twilight princess but one of two steps further. I had this idea (I'm not sure about how people feel about it so forgive me if this is heresy) for a Zelda game where you play as Link, but like sixty/fifty years after the events of twilight princess. He's remained an adventurer and it's taken his tole, he's scared, bearded, broken and maimed, specifically missing an arm which he's replaced with a fully functional wooden arm which will later be upgraded and become metal (maybe have a hook claw like function or some other item). This time Ganondorf's son (maybe just reincarnated Ganondorf, not hung up on it being his son) has kidnapped Zelda's daughter (perhaps also named Zelda, just to make sure everything's nice and confusing) and Queen Zelda's asked you to go save her (again, not hung up on this part of the plot, it's more to get the ball rolling). And maybe we could even bring back wolf Link (perhaps Midna as well) in some capacity. I just think this could be a cool idea, let me know if you think it would be too different or if you have any other thoughts.
