[b][u]Process:[/u][/b]-Removed guitar strings
-Sanded pick guard down with fine sand paper to have a surface with friction so my sharpies wouldn't slide around too much
-Just started going at with with sharpie but later penciled in bits as I came up with ideas
-Quick wipe down with wet tissue so I could see areas that weren't covered well and then added another layer of sharpie
-Sprayed with protective laminate to preserve ink
-Re-strung guitar
-Jam

the crappy part though, is that a small area below the pick-ups and a small area by the sound bars are worn due to the oil on my fingers and the pick while i play :[
it's still fun to look at. i am thinking of bleaching it, starting over, and then coating it with something to make it more permanent idk

trust me when I say this: stickers on guitars aren't cool, no matter how awesome the band. Buttons on your strap, however, is alright (if not awesome).
I say you take out all the electronics (including the knobs and pickups) and strip the guitar, then keep it natural. That green color doesn't do the guard much justice.
Also, if you don't mind drawing on curves, paint the back of the neck white and draw all over it with a horizontal emphasis. They'll match [:

Are you going to coat it with anything so the Sharpie doesn't rub off?
Amazing art. I keep going back and looking at your other Sharpie drawings on ABS(I'm on there more than devArt), and you're great with a marker.

I'm not sure what to coat it with, but it doesn't really rub off. My pick sort of hits the sound level bars (between the 1st and 2nd pick-ups) and so that is wearing off a tad... But I can always just re-do anything that is fading.

just got up one day and decided i needed to add something. Took off the strings and immediately started drawing. I usually don't plan out anything that i do lol :]
