I doodled a Genki then decided to expirament with lineweight on itI'm happy with how it turned out but can't tell if that's because it's decent or because I'm being biased and really obsessed with Saint's Row right now pssh

OOH MMY GODDD my visiting sister and I slammed hardcore on Saints Row a couple nights ago (okay okay, we binged on the challenges <3) and I really needed this pic in my life. Haha, it was great to stumble upon while browsing back through your gallery! Genki is the best, I have no idea why RERC isn't a real-life game show yet. :U

Oh gosh SR is my favorite series ever I swear! <3 It's so stupid and ridiculous it's hard not to love it especially any of the genki games! I love this guy a bunch and totally need to draw more of him sometime, but I think that goes for most of the game's characters as a whole xD
Game shows are getting more and more ridiculous all the time so i wouldn't be surprised if something similar came up eventually xDΒ Just mash up Wipeout with legends of the hidden temple and you're pretty dern close!Β

I KNOW, it's like GTA but more in-your-face tongue-in-cheek and it's just... all that I want in my video games right now, haha. My sister and I used to play them all the time, but I recently bought back SR3 and got my husband into it. Let's just say that he was sold by the second cutscene.

haha exactly! I've only played a small bit of GTA (I've played all of Red Dead Redemption though which I assume is just cowboy GTA if that counts?) it seems pretty fun but like you said, Saint's row is so much more fun to me with how ridiculous it is! 'cause it's like yeah i'd totally love to terrorize a city but it's so much better doing it in an over the top fashion with just a swarm of gimp-suit men running around attacking the military fellas. and haha yes penetrator is best weapon! also the shark gun if you have the genki dlc xD

WAIT there's a Genki-themed DLC? We... may... have to get that, oh goodness! ;o; But indeed, it's the insanity of it all that's so funny. I play GTA mainly or the smooth controls and graphics, but it's this very realism that can detract from the fun. Running and jumping should not be that hard, Rock Star! Ahaha. Saints Row is good for havin' undiluted fun, I mean what other game except Goat Simulator allows you to run into traffic and ragdoll into the sky, INTENTIONALLY?! Hell I could play insurance fraud all night...
Have you played the fourth game, by any chance? I'm hoping to give that one a try down the line!

I don't have anything against GTA or anything like that but I guess it's just been hard for me to get into aside from playing it for sheer silliness on occasion. I do agree though the controls get kind of annoying sometimes like i do not want to keep mashing a button just to run (or in RDR's case continuously kick a horse so i can actually get from place to place xD)
and oh gosh I freakin love insurance fraud in 3 and it gets even better in 4 xDΒ like literally you can get halfway across the map it's that insane! I know there's a cheat in 3 too that you can use to make yourself just ragdoll on command! not as fun as insurance fraud but still good for some giggles!
and oh gosh I have! I've played all of them actually, plus Gat out of hell xDΒ I would totally reccommend 4 though!Β I don't like it as much as 3 mostly since they pretty much made the vehicle system obsolete with your super powers and at times you can get a little too overpowered but it's still good for a good time and the plot is pretty cute! How the Saint's Saved Christmas DLC is a must though it's the most adorable thing ever! also Enter the Dominatrix is really silly too haha. If you're into plot though i'd reccommend playing or at least watching a playthorugh of SR 2 first just because they bring back some old characters and it just makes subtle things all the more silly! they bring back a few people from 1 too but not too extensively. Same goes for if you ever play Gat out of Hell (which is also pretty cute) and aaah i'm so sorry i'm rambling i'm so sorry i just love this series xD

SEE, where GTA goes to great lengths to be realistic, SR flies the opposite direction. Hahaha! I WANT THAT GUN, I WANT TO SUMMON A GROUND SHARK.
(As an aside, by "shark rising from the ground" I thought you meant this !)
Aaah sounds super, though! We'll definitely have to give 4 a try, I've been kind of hesitant because my sister told me it got a little bit TOO CRAZY. Haha! Perhaps if I want to keep my feet on the ground, I can just go back to 3, and if I want a big map I can always buy back 2. Each SR game has its own shining trait, that's one thing I really like about it.
Extra incentive to try and get better! SAINTS ROW.

4 definitely is over the top to the next level but not to the point it can't be enjoyable xDΒ It's just one of those things that you can't expect to take seriously, i think that's what a lot of people had issues with. It's definitey not as good as 3 but i love it in its own special way! Also the minigames are a blast!

yesss! I love them all and they're all good for a laugh and pick me up when you need em! (except for the few times 2 turns into feels fest 2015)
I know that if you bought a new copy of 3 for ps3 you get a free download of 2 with it but i'm not sure for xbox or anything. i thiiiiiiiiink there's a 1 and 2 combo for xbox though yeah!
