Is there a tutorial on how to make the hammer? I keep trying to make mine out of EVA foam and a dowel, but they refuse to stick together :\

That there is, I posted a full tutorial on how I made it and such. The entire process is kind of irritating though. strider-rumps.tumblr.com/post/… I didn't really list what you needed in the tutorial first out though, so what you'd need is:
Decent sized block of foam
jigsaw or something that can cut through foam really well
sandpaper (optional, it's to sand the pieces down)
paper mache paste and newspaper
A PVC pipe to match how tall you want your hammer to be
PVC screws (not exactly sure what these are called, but I used them to clamp on to both the bottom and top of the box I used for the main base)
Cardboard box for the middle.
Red spray paint
Sealer that dries white
Hot glue gun + Super glue
aaaand
some sort of adhesive to make sure the PVC is all secure
