srsly gaiz, how does one go about creating a background with all the layers? i'm untalented with such things D8

Uhhhrrrmmmfap9857-154 I think you would just do backround layers like regular layers. Like the ones you use for the characters. I don't know how different your program is from mine but what I would do is the characters or whatever and then combine the layers for each individual (for organization purposes) so that theres char: A and char: B. Then create more layers for the backrounds (base colour, lineart, shading) and drag them so that charA and charB come before that.
Or something like that...
You could always do the backround first and then create the characters on top of that.
