Born and raised on San Genebra, she became tired of the troubles that her home gave off and decided to join the government administration in order to try and get a handle on things while keeping the powers that be in Europe happy. With her dark feelings regarding the nature of humanity and the consistant pirate raids, she is well hated by the populace but has no cares or worries as long as she is able to manage and control things without too much interference.

I know what you're probably thinking...and here is the answer: no Hydie doesn't exist in this world. The reason: I wanted Quinn for once to show her dominant personality considering she is a government official and with a lack of care regarding being well-hated by the powers that be on San Genebra. That...and the idea of a government official transforming into an adorable monster in secret would horribly undermine the problems of trying to have my own "semi-realistic" look at the early 18th century....even with pirates and mermaids. (that and Hydes were not known to the world until the late 19th century...how the heck would Quinn even become one at this early period!?) But hey, when you're hated and doing your job, there is no worries.

But if you did want to see Hydie as a pirate, there is always this: Beware of Booby Traps - Marauder6272 (yeah Hydes as pirates doesn't work in 18th century Caribbean...but in 1985 Astoria, Oregon, then we are good to go!)
