when I first saw it I was little freaked out, mostly because the mask was sort of like... human face realism in pokemon, but now I'm completely fascinated by it o: reminds me of a musical, too

Yeah, and looking at the sprites again, I still don't like it much in that form, but your portrayal makes it look more like the mask is just something this particular species is fascinated with and likes to hide behind. x]
