Thanks Simon! I'm a massive fan of Joshua Sudas work, so i guess he would be a big influence. I'd never heard of tromp l'oeil until i checked out his work. I've been wanting to try something out in this style for a while now.

do you know the work of anthony waichuls ? he's another great amercian modern tromp l'oeil painter.

That's really cool, i stumbled across his work here on DA and i was totally blown away. Suprised to hear that he's chilled out, if that was me i'd be running around screaming in everbody's face about how fucking brilliiant i was... only joking, i'd tell them politely
Just checked out anthony waichuls work, holy fuck that guy is amazing, i felt a little shell shocked after seeing his paintings, I didn't think it was possible to get that level of detail into such a confined space, the man is incredible. Cheers for the head up Simon
