Wow. This god seems to be of the 's*** happens' philosophy. He's not even very horrible he's just... easily distracted and not very... sympathetic. You just get the sense he's just... oblivious rather than delibtratly malicious.
It seems any dying at 7 is from extreme old age here rather than the short life span being due to them getting into trouble. Ah well, they probaby would think people living to their 70s to be utterly rediculous and unbelievable. They can't think its unusually short themselves, for them its just normal to live that long.
