Description
A little Still Life experiment.I was in the hotel, bored. So I grabbed my Jack Daniel's bottle and a table in the room and arranged them for a quick shot.
I used the built in camera flash + an handkerchief (to obtain a much softer lighting) and the window as a background light.
Now you tell me how this turned out

Never seen Jack Daniels look soooo...goood <3 The lighting on this is fantastic this is the kind of still life artist need to paint more, and to say this is an apparent quick shot it's very well executed.

I have a dedicated flash diffuser, but I don't use it much. Interesting picture-well done, but I can't say that I like the subject.

I like it, notably for its contrast in both attitude and colour.
There's the warmth of the whiskey colour in contrast to the cold of the background, immediately drawing your eyes to it.
There's also the attitude factor, where the background, while vague, is cold and modern looking...even bourgeois. While Jack Daniels is known for its down-to-earth attitude and charm. Known for it's bars and 'twang'. (As well as being a great drink.)
I think it's a great shot.

nice work. This is a good jive, you know, its one of those things that has been photo'ed so many times, but it has classic styling and all the things that make a good photo without having to tweak it much. I mean, of course, the bottle of Jack. Whoever designed that damn thing knew what they were doing. The only think i see that strikes my eye wrong is that the crop at the bottom (the reflection) seems just a bit small, i feel like i want to see more of it. but that,too, is a well used theme. hard to do something like this and have it 'not' be a cliche' at least in some sense. The photo itself is slick and perfect, the twinkles are all nice and symmetrical and theres not an ounce of crap to destract. Impeccable depth of focus and composition.
