Description
My latest painting of my Loving Laconia series. This beautiful building was to be demolished by order of the Catholic Church to keep it from being used for non-religious reasons, but public outrage may have saved it. This church served the Irish Catholics for many years in Laconia, New Hampshire.
Anam Cara is Gaelic for soul friend. In the early Celtic church a teacher companion or spiritual guide was called an Anam Cara. Thank you Ginger Ainsworth for this information.
