interesting critique. the face is quite "flat" but that is largely because the source image is also like that- i imagine Anastacia wears plenty of makeup for her photoshoots so i would struggle to find any features worth drawing even if there were any. on top of that she is also meant to look beautiful, flawless complexion etc.
but i can see why you might say that.
the shirt and the torso were the main reasons for taking this work on- the shirt had plenty of light, shadowy features on a white base, perfect for pencil on bristol paper, while the torso demanded plenty of darker tone smoothly applied to resemble skin. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how well it turned out.
