This makes me remember a filk song from many years ago called FAP (Feline American Princess) - there were a couple of lines that I'll probably mangle but it mentioned something about shedding all the dark hairs on white laundry and white everywhere else.

So true... my cat Gulliver has a little sleeping spot in my closet (basically an open box full of old bedsheets) that's completly gray and white with fur. It USED to be BLUE.
