Yes, Zant is a giant. When I first saw his 3D model years ago and compared it to the other characters I was rather surprised. Here you can see it pretty well, too. i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/o… I don't really know why I was surprised, though, because there were some scenes in the game where it's definitely obvious, like when he stands behind Link at Lakebed Temple or in the flashback when he walks toward Midna before turning her into an imp. But for some reason I didn't fully realize just how tall he is when I first played it... I guess I just kept thinking that he's adorable and didn't pay much attention to anything else. XD

It suits that. I noticed many of the twilight realms names come from Norwegian words

Midna - Midnattsol - Midnight Sun
Sol - Sun
The light of the twilight realm is the light of the midnight sun in certain areas, near the polar circle.


While Zant name has greek origins.

Hehe, yeah, Midna and the Twilight Realm have actually made me think of the midnight sun at times.
And that's very interesting, actually, what exactly do you think is the origin of Zant's name? Xanthos (yellow, golden)? Can't really find another possible matching Greek word right now...
