Rebbie, Nick and Alex where walking down the hall one day in school when a girl they didn't recognized shouted "Hey Tomboy! what dumpster did you find those rags in?!" And started laughing, and her friends joined in"What's your problem?!" Said Alex, as confused as she was angry
"Just ignore her" Said Nick, "She's just being a jerk to you to raise her own self esteem"
"Oh c'mon nick, don't be so cynical" Said Rebbie, putting down her hand from waving "maybe she meant it as a compliment and likes her style!"

Question 1: What do you think Rebbie, Nick and Alex might be picked on for?
Question 2: Do you think I should put these under Cartoons or Anime/Manga?

I kind of like how different Alex and Rebbie are. Almost like night and day, yet still friends.

They are quite different in their attitudes, Rebbie is cheerful and oblivious and pacifistic, While Alex tends to be more aggressive and rude around people she doesn't like.
That said, she have a bunch in common too, Both love nature and animals, both tend to be pretty energetic, both are kind of poor and self relient, and overall Rebbie is probably Alex's best Girl-Friend.

1. Well they don't have to be picked on at all, maybe the other group was having a bad day after all
2. That's really up to you, I guess, but cartoons might be your best choice even if that category also has plenty of manga-style drawings. At first I used to submit to manga/anime, and some of my oldest drawings are still there, but then I switched to cartoons/comics because of a group (which by the way is no longer run) I used to post in and had a no manga/anime policy. Actually I've learned that manga has much more beyond the way you draw eyes, faces and such: it's about giving your characters Japanese names, dressing them in short skirts and sailor uniforms if they're girls, among others. That's why even if I still some manga aspects, I stopped associating my drawings with that style because of the lack of Japanese influences on them.

That's what I was thinking, Sure i've gotten some inspiration from manga styled drawings, but my story doesn't take place in japan, doesn't have japanease names, doesn't read right to left, and I've also had a bunch of Cartoon inspirations as well, disney being one of them...
I think I'll probably change it to cartoon

Rebbie is hardly ever down, or at least she doesn't show it, she always assumes the best of people and treats almost everyone as a friend... on the rare occasions she's angry though... she's angry
