Β May I use this image as background art for a free game mod? The mod adds Blackbeard as a leader in the game Civilization VI for the "Republic of Pirates". I have attached a screenshot of how it would look in game.

Sure. I would just reduce the image slightly so we're not cutting off the little pirate and make sure and clean up the edges of Blackbeard

no worries. Yeah this looks better. I'd just do something about those feathers in his hat. They're very contrasty and draw a lot of attention away form his face, plus they also have untidy edges. Oh and I'd trim/paint over the swords so they're straight and not jagged

This is spectacular work...
You know, I am desiging a pirate board game for a local homebrew board game contest (in Greece 
This won't be commercial as the board games there will not be for sale and there won't even be prize money (the prizes are merely board games)... It will be printed in only the prototype of the game that will take part in the contest.
