When the snow became thick and stopped falling for a while, Sam decided that while the other horses were tucked up safe in the stables, the snow mustangs would benefit from a run in the snow. He was expecting some excitement from the colts, but when Etta and Commander started joining in, he realised they must know more about their natural habitat from instinct than he had thought. None of them had been wild caught, so they hadn't experienced the wild snowy lands their ancestors originated from, but they all seemed to love playing in the snow
