Description
This is my Hayao Miyazaki inspired painting for Cghub's "Homage to Hayao Miyazaki challenge" we had 3 movies to paint from Spirited away, Howls Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke.

About my painting:
The city that is riding on the back of the air fish is actually a 6 legged chameleon city which Crawls off once the Air fish approaches skylands.
The city changes its appearance to match the different skyland environments, for example the buildings change color and composition.
The chameleon city can eat buildings whole and pop them up on his back. That's how it grows.

But don't let the chameleon city be caught by the gunfish!
The gunfish are air pirates flashing bright red and green banners, they loot the chameleon City if they can catch it in route between skylands.

I love Miyazaki's work... everything is possible.
