Ninten, of Mother --not to be confused with Ness. Like many others have, I based his design more off the commercial version to individualize him, since Ness' design is so close to his. That and the colours are really appealing..All 4 games (one being a port collection of Mother 1+2) have a catchphrase, "No crying until the ending." is Mother's. I feel each of them represent the games better than any review could. It's such a special series, and I've been so motivated by it lately. I've been playing through Mother, so I was inspired to draw this.

I'm going on a total MOTHER craze at the moment. And each of the games were remarkably heartrending.

They really are. I always say that you can't really have the whole feeling until you've played all of them... it's really something else experiencing MOTHER as a whole.

It's actually the game's slogan. XD Each game has a slogan (even Mother 1+2, which was a play on Mother 2's). I love them all!

Having just finished this game I gotta say that the slogan is really fitting. Although the Eve thing was a little moving too.

How do you make your oekaki so good? I'm in love with the shading, especially on his face! You certainly have an eye for detail, Jean dear! 
but that's just plain amazing. How long do your oekaki drawings usually take you?

I LOVE working with hard pixels. It's just such a fun medium.. kinda primitive, but it has layers so that makes me happy.
An oekaki like this averages on 3-4 hours. I'm incredibly nitpicky. ALso, I'm always talking during that so it's always a bit off.

Yeah, but he also only wears that in the commercial. XD the only differences in the official art from him and Ness is that his hat is on to the side and his shirt is partially untucked. Oh, and his shoes are blue, not red.
