Description Yes, there are ditzy Playboy Bunny blonds who don't know shit from apple sauce. But enjoying shopping, Lady Gaga and Fashion Police (may Joan Rivers live on forever and ever amen,) doesn't mean you're an idiot. Just like wearing baggy clothes with a million pockets and stitching Naruto patches to everything doesn't make someone an annoying twat. They're just stereotypes. :]

I love pink, MLP previous gens, the whole LPS franchise, Disney Princesses and Palace Pets, Claire's, comfortable and decent looking dresses and skirts, and cutesy designs. Most of my interests are actually gender neutral I'm realizing, lol.

I agree. And Tomboy does not equal jerk like Mario said.

I love this!! I am pure girly and i don't support when some tomboys call us "idiots".

But it's also a stereotype that girly girls listen to Lady Gaga.
I am girly and i HATE Lady Gaga!

;u; Omigojrohdskjhs, THANK YOU! Thank you so much!!! I love you for this!! I absolutely hate people who use these stereotypes. I'm a major tomboy about most things, however I still like a few girly things--like sewing, shopping and fashion designing, but so many people think I'm one of the ditzy chicks and use "you're suchΒ a girl" or "girly" as an insult and it pisses me right the bleeperdoodle off. I, and most of the feminine femaleΒ population will agree when I say this, am not affiliated with the "ditzy Playboy Bunny blonds" (as you most delightedly, and accurately, stated in the above ^w^ ) and wish to never be mistaken for them because I happen to like something that they typicallyΒ enjoy, or for something that is a girly stereotype. So again, Thank you so much for putting this out here!!

Aw, sweetheart. Fancying yourself a pariah will make people think you're an ass cactus, not noteworthy. But let's take a tally anyway: you're a 14-year-old girl who thinks that things society deems "girly" are somehow tainted. Not even in response to the patriarchy, either, you just think that aligning with more gender-neutral habits makes you more interesting, somehow. So you've convinced yourself that pink princess things are a symbol of inferiority, and you probably hold your head high thinking that you're better than the "idiots" who dress according to popular culture and listen to different music than you.

Am I getting all of this right so far? Because if being "girly" means you're an idiot, then you're a teeny little wheel in the grander misogynistic machine. Rejecting genderboxing is one thing, but openly shaming other girls who like girly things, just because it's not YOUR preference? Well kiddo, that makes you the bully. You're the asshole in this equation, not the girl with the Ke$ha t-shirt who likes Justin Bieber and the color pink. (β—‘β€Ώβ—‘) Shame on you for thinking, even for a second, that you're somehow better than someone else just because you're "different". Close your mouth.

this is a nice reply to a two word sentence
thanks for it.
and sorry for the following bad english, i try to explain with the vocabulary and stuff i know without google.

first of all, you make pretty bad interpretation of two words you know. like i shouted at you or stuff. i wont, cause i dont want anyone to shout at me, guess thats right so far.
but its not subjecct now.

pretending that girly means that you like pink and shopping and justin bieber and live this likes (oh well, i guess no one will understand that ever) through buying cool fashion for money and new cds and stuff and lives his/her girly mainstream live, then i think he/she cant be clever or something. Or he/she displace all the problems he/she makes, if he does live this live.
yep, im an ordinary one who thinks that lives not easy and makes hisself have problems without anyone having them, but in my opinion everybody who doesnt is a stupid idiot that doesnt care enought.
oh fuk everyone hates me now.

at least im working on a plan to clear all the damage human made without killing everyone. thats nice, isnt it.

what a great discussion bout two words.
and sorry for the grammar mistakes and stuff. its english. im not good at english.

I totally understand what you're saying, or I think I do.

I'm a bit bothered, actually, about how it seems like people expect you to be one extreme, polarized way or the other these days, either:

a) 'OMG LIEK SOOO DITZY AN STUPID LIEK LEIK ON PURPOSE OMG IMA HANG AROUND WITH LIEK A LIEK BIG GROUP OF LIEK OTHER RANDOM INTENTIONLLY AIRHEADE LIEK GIRL ON LIKE PURPOSE IN PUBLIC CUZ LIEK I'D LIEK DIE WITHOUT MY FRIENDS, AND THEN IMA FAKE LAFF REALLYREALLY LOUD IN PUBCLI CUZ IT LIEK MAKES GUYS LIKE STARE AT MEEEE~!!!' (aka sort of an seemingly on-purpose almost artifical 'ditzy overkill')

b) sort of an artificial, hardcore 'I'm trying to be an angry, cynical, in-your-face, attitudey, fake 'anti-girl' girl on purpose', IMA GIRL GAMER WHO PRETENDS TO BE OBSESSED WITH SHOOTERS AN ZOMBIE GAMES AN PROUD SO EFF U U EFFING BIATCH AN EFF EFF U IF U WEAR PINK I HATE PINK!!11 IMA TRY TO BE A 15-Y/O DUDE SO LIKE EFF U AND IMA TALK LIKE THAT NOW CATCH YA LATA [racial slur]!111!!

Granted, not EVERYONE is that extreme (it is SOMEWHAT of stereotypes, though I've met a good few people who are this way, probably because some people purposely TRY to be stereotypes now, maybe moreso than in the past. On that note, those write-ups are honestly not to be a cynical jerk--I've really MET people almost exactly like that, many times o-o ), but it seems like there's a lot of polarization, and some of us are stuck in between:

a)I'm not at all easily grossed-out, scared of bugs/snakes/etc., I don't scream, don't get along so well (well, polite to them, don't hate them, but I mean, don't have loads in common with) the kind of faked-up, loud 'over-girly' types, either, I grew up doing a lot of things that boys did (play army, play with Batman, Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles, wrestle/roughhouse, play Star Wars, etc.), but ALSO

b) Played dress-up, Barbies, wore fairy wings and tutus, like to go out places instead of hide in my room, dress decently, don't mind looking at clothes stores, wearing pink and/or dresses sometimes, etc.

As of now, I would be seen as 'mostly a normal girl' (in way of not being one of those 'glaring anti' people), but at the same time, I'm not ditzy and air-headed and loud (accidentally or on purpose), and some 'typical' girly things bug me, while at the same time, I would be seen doing others with no problem.

You get the picture. Those of us who ARE in between, such that we'd probably sort of 'have some girly traits, enough to be noticable, but aren't remotely dumb or loud, even on purpose', kind of get lost or misrepresented in all of a polarization, stereotypes, and assumptions.
