Description
Here are some of the cards that I did for the Women of Marvel Set. This was my first set and I had a blast doing them-hopefully I'll get to do more sets in the future!Pencilled with a red pencil, blue pencil, or 2h lead. Inked with Microns ranging from .005 to the .08. Finished with my trusty Prismas.

I really like the diversity of close-ups and body shots

Just trying to keep each card fresh and interesting plus not boring myself by just doing profiles or busts though it was hard to not repeat poses towards the end.

the time and thought you put into these is obvious..wicked characters while keeping your own style hard. totally amazing work.

Thank you though I have to admit that these didn't take me that long to do at all. Aside from the size and sketchiness of the work the subject matter just made it more fun to do card after card with minimal effort. It took me longer trying to decide who to draw next.

I drew alot of inspiration from my early funny book collecting days and my copy of the Marvel Encyclopedia helped quite a bit as well.
I knew from the onset that I'd have to throw her Brood highness in there, of course!

Thanks! Not to knock any of the other way more talented individuals that worked on this set and others prior but I saw too many profile and bust shots that seemed static and uninteresting so I tried to make each card as unique as I could by changing up poses or having the character 'act' a bit rather than just churning out card after card. I'm glad it shows through in the finished set.

I think it paid off, because unlike most of these card posts, I found myself taking a look at each and every card. Usually when they post collections of card art on DA . . .my eyes just glaze over because they're all a bit same-y. So I appreciated the variety of the "shots" in yours.

I agree, I tend to gloss over alot of the sets posted myself but guys like Mahmud and Cinar have some groovy examples on their pages.

I really love the fourth one from the left in the top row. I love just about all of them, but that one in particular caught my eye immediately.

Ah, disco-era Dazzler! Yeah that was a kick to draw since her light power FX were all done with the Prismas. Thanks for checking them out.

Oh, and the Brood Queen...nice touch. Definitely a Marvel Comics female... far from an attractive one, but just as qualified. Heh.

I was supposed to do five hundred but I botched up my scheduling and only turned in a little over three hundred of which only two got rejected which sucks because I still had a bunch of other Marvel ladies I wanted to draw.
Which Widow original or x-tra crispy? Yeah the Sue was my homage to Kirby's great FF cover.
