i wonder if you have ever seen a movie by Fellini called City of Women. I found it very ground breaking. It's amazing how art & entertainment seems to regress and progress.

It is a very lonesome piece. The woman on the right looks like she's up for a fight, but the surroundings are a hell. Very good.

I love the way my brain pops with this... it's like when I recognize a form or a pattern, the next portion of the painting makes me realize I didn't got it at first... just like girls x_X

The first thing that attracted my attention here are these different surfaces each with its own unique color pattern - the variety of color systems appears as a symbol for variety of personalities; it seems to me that different personalities are presented here through these layers of color schemes in such way that each one of them is an ecosystem/world for itself, visually explaining how every woman (in this case) has her own perception of reality derived from her own consciousness. Also, these surfaces stay balanced, even though they're so different and at some moments even colliding. Each character here has her own atmosphere. Beautifully painted. And this DNA-like spiral structure seems like a building support that carries the massive weight for the whole painting, and also moving upwards as a staircase - that way adding a kind of geometrical motion to the whole composition. This painting is atmospheric as if it was a riddle. I love your interpretations of (sur)reality.
Anyway, this is the best psychological study on women I've read in a long time.
I wish my english was better - I don't usually talk this much, but your work is inspiring..

Oh I love it! It's like a tropical fantasy world with ballet dancers. Their wild poses are excellent. Like animals taken out of their true habitat.

So much detail (and in oils yet) on such a small space! The women are enigmatic, the stairway well done - and the overall ambience of the painting very surreal. Great work, Jav!
