Yea, every adaptation gives new opportunities to explore different stories and what new cast has to offer and even if script was bit off, Garfield did pull off a decent Peter Parker

And I thought he was a better Spider-Man than Tobey. Tobey, for me, was an okay Peter Parker but a giant "meh" as Spider-Man. Andrew Garfield was a great Spider-Man, but his Peter Parker, while likable, was simultaneously a little too sad and a little too cool. I understand what they were trying to go with, making him less like a nerd or geek and more like an outsider. But I feel they could've toned down the sadness and the coolness a bit.
Plus, I bought the TASM romance between Peter and Gwen WAY more than the Sam Raimi trilogy romance between Peter and Mary Jane. I swear, Peter and Mary Jane go back-and-forth on whether they wanna be in a relationship more times than Clark and Lana in "Smallville". Whereas Peter and Gwen in the TASM films have phenomenal chemistry and they're just adorable together. And I thought Gwen's death in TASM2 was done pretty well, even though they SHOULD'VE waited for the 3rd film to do so. But NOPE. Avi Arad and Sony had to fuck it up.
