That's actually the style you see here. It was named "grand julian" b/c the mathematical algorithm predominately used to create it is the "julia".
It's one of the original fractal plots. In this case, then "n" at the end of the name comes from the julia variation being raised to the "n" power.
Hopefully I've explained that in a proper and at least semi-easy way?
