Im not that good and I guess you could call me a novice artist but this looks absolutely amazing. The way you drew the man with the simple strokes and the blending and all that....I mean it looks amazing...the background blows me away though...good deal man.

yes, and no, i painted over the top of one of my older speedpaints - [link] - i do that now and again if i like a certain part of an image, but it wasn't referenced from anything, just a load of lines and blocks to give the appearance of a skyline, i have an avi of the process kicking around somewhere, ran out of webspace on my site so i left that one off as the editing wasn't too clever (my first screengrab)

be even more fun trying to find it haha, just had a quick look on my hd's, no sign, so it's on a backup cd somewhere, it wasn't a particularly good example to be honest, kept flicking to the right for some reason, was basically 3 or 4 square brushes i made on the fly, blocking in little squares and lines in different colours, building up layers of blocks, adding highlight lines and shadowy areas, really quick & nasty, but it came out pretty well in the end
