This was a fun piece to play with. I tried using some different brushes and I drew snow for the first time. Snow's a little tricky, because I don't actually live where it snows. Where I live, there are events in the winter where a bunch of shaved ice is dumped into a box, and children wait for--literally--hours for the chance to play in it. Except it all melts, and they try to refreeze it, and at that point it's no longer shaved ice, it's just regular ice.
IT'S JUST REGULAR ICE!

I think your art work is amazing! Each color works perfectly to blend into each other only to bring out the more emotional value of what the picture is meant to show. I am a brony as well and a first time author but i can't do anything artistic except photography. i am looking for an artist to help with the art work for at lest one of my two stories i have and am working on. Is there any chance I could ask you for help on the matter? please reply when possible.

We don't even get shaved ice where I grew up. We get black ice. 2 concussions and one smashed mailbox later, and I hated winter. Only gets cold enough to make you miserable and the roads become death traps. My hands turn white whenever it got to 45°-with gloves! People hoarded bread and milk for WEEKS at the first hint of ice. We never had snow men- we put the mud that formed into balls before they froze. They were mud men. MUD MEN!!!

Oh no... XD I spent waayy too much time playing Fallout 3 trying to talk to as many people as I could while wearing the 'sexy sleepwear.' It puts raiding a den of deathwings into a whole new context!

Thank you! Would you believe that the original iteration of this style was completely black and white? I've just been adding little stylistic elements and knocking some off for a few months until it got to this point. I'm quite happy with the direction it's going, and I can't wait to experiment more with using different brushes to add texture like I started doing in this piece.

Take a closer look at her dress and you are going to see that there is more than meets the eye

It's a dress, it's not intended to warm her. It does look like she'd be very cold... I don't know how much ponies are affected by cold, but I'd bet she wishes that dress were a coat right now. I guess post-apocalyptic scenarios aren't ALL good...

Even if the dress has heating equipment in it, all four of her legs, her shoulders, her hips, her rump, her neck, and head would still be very cold. An now I'm curious as to what spell she is performing.

Thank you very much for the feedback. When you say add more depth... do you think that desaturating and lowering the contrast on the hill further from the viewer would help achieve that effect? (something like this maybe? [link] ) I don't have much experience with depth, I'm afraid, especially in landscapes.

No. I meant the lineart. You have put mounds of snow that block the far view.
If I had made it, I'd have reserved some area of the picture for some far trees and mountains. Or at least given it more blank space.
Or maybe I would have gone the opposite way and made it more packed and tight, so the snow walls and trees covered all around Trixie, making her clearing more like a spotlight.
As I see it, the picture is too homogeneous in the background and doesn't focus the attention of the viewer, but maybe that's what you were going for, so I don't know. Take it as opinion, not advice.
