ive been working on this for the last few days and this is the result. wasnt sure if it belongs in indyart or wallpapers. but i think it makes an ok wp.. it has room for icons on the left side, under the tree. plus, your icons get shade!(i dont know his/her name, but props to the person who made the custom brushes i used)

I think the harshness on hte left looks fine, personally. gives it a real roughed up, old, almost rustic look without being over the top. I love the warmer tones to this. Has a calm feeling to it in the midst of the chaotic brushes and lines (like most of your stuff).

the detail in the hair and face are excelent ~ her arms are a little long, but thats probably why she's a master samurai; she'd probaby kick my ass in a game of hoops too. hehe

I've always seen these types of pics as paintings rather than airbrushings because you can see the 'brush' strokes. Very nice image. Her head seems too finished in comparison to the rest of the peice. And her arms are very long. Love the entire background. The tree is suggested very well.

It looks like a dream almost. I have noticed that the sword and the arms are a little odd looking. (If someone noticed this before, disregard it) It looks great though. Painting is a hard skill to master, well it is for me anyway. You've shown greatness with it.

I love the colors, and her dress, and the expression on her face. The sword seems a bit too European to be a samurai sword, though, but still, this piece definitely deserves Daily Deviation. Hell, it deserves Weekly Deviation... if there was one, that is.

praise for the technique.
but to me the real beauty in this is it's telling me you're gifted with the artist's eye. sure, a finger clicks the mouse, but the ability to filter the important details in scene, and then for it to evoke the mood and reaction from the viewer, without unecessary splash - I think that's what you got the DD for.
