Trade with !LovelywingsI never thought I'd get this finished all in one sitting o____x at first I was gonna make it a daytime scene, 'cause it feels really summery today, but then I realised he had a glowstick so I thought I'd make it a midnight beach instead. Tried some new stuff, gradient shading and I'm starting to figure out how to use colours in shading to depict different scenes/temperatures.

THE COLOURS.
Holy crap, look at the colours.
I love the different hues you used for the shading.
Anyways, the moon looks a bit weird because of it's somewhat oval shape. And the shading on it is probably a bit too much and too dark. But it's hard finging good references for that since taking a good photo at night is pretty difficult, I grant you that.
A bit of texture on the sand and shading beneath his paws would be nice, too.
And the sky is a bit too blue, in reality it's more grey-black-blueish than really blue.
Teach me how to outlines that well. >:U

yeah i know, the moon annoys me too but i try to ignore it >.>
and yeah the sky is really not that colour, but i wanted it to fit in with an almost 'magical' theme if you like.

the colouring was so much easier on this one 'cause of the uber thick lineart xD it's always fun to do that for a change. on your subby prize though (which i've sketched) rose is probably gonna have uber thin lineart, i'm trying out different styles

It's amazing apart from the right hind leg. It's positioned really weirdly, almost like it's growing from the tail.

well all sorts really. for the lineart on this one i used a 4px brush, and then for the rest it was greatly varied. thank you :3
