Omniverse is what has saved Ben 10. Alien Force kinda ruined Ben 10 for me, but Omniverse has raised the bar that Alien Force brought down. And Rook is the best new character on the show.Rook is probably the best new ally for Ben. He isn't throwing insults at Ben all the time, allowing Ben to get over himself and deal with problems like he needs to. Rook has no super-powers, unlike Ben's other allies, so it makes it a great sight to see him going toe-to-toe with many of Ben's most powerful foes. Best of all, Rook has little to no ego, complementing Ben's vanity with naive curiosity and forcing Ben to become more of a teacher than just the main muscle of the group who can just soak in the glory.
Rook is not only my favorite character on the show, he's probably my favorite character of the year.
Ben himself has been improved as well, getting an ego drop that was much needed and isn't quite such an annoyance as he became in a couple of the series. He feels more mature here, whereas Alien Force tried to convince us of this when it started, then eventually progressed back to the 10 year old Ben mentality. This wasn't fun as we had already seen that character and wanted to see a new one.
However, Ben still can't control the Omnitrix. And that's fine, we've come to expect it. But ...
I thought Ben was dating Julie? Did I miss something? Ben is apparently in a new relationship with a gal called Ester, but Omniverse hasn't introduced Julie. While I've experienced having multiple crushes on girls, it's different for a fictional series. You can't always leave it to their imaginations. We know Ben has a girlfriend, and while time has passed from then to now, you can't just introduce a new crush and never explain what happened to the old one.
I know Korra gets a little flack for (supposedly) not addressing Mako and Asami, but they do end off the relationship in the second to last episode. Omniverse hasn't addressed this yet, and it's depressing to know that they don't seem to be doing so. At least I haven't seen as many gaping holes as Alien Force and the live-action spinoffs.
Ben, I love you and your creators, but get the continuity straight. There's only so much that I can love about a "real" comic book experience, and plots that twist so badly it hurts isn't one of them.
I think I may start shipping Rook and Ester just because. 'Cause they'd be cute together ... well, I think so.

Yea I've totally ship rookxester! They get along well and ester shows that she cares for rook's safety in some of the episodes. She doesn't just push him to the side (like most cartoons with this type of character plot) even though she has a crush on ben!
I think she has secret feelings for him. :3

Eh, anywho, I'm curious what they'll do with Ester.Β They've revealed Rook as a love interest on Revonnah, but I still don't feel any chemistry between Ester and Ben, so ... yeah, I'm curious as to how they're going to handle the situation.

Yes I was kinda iffy 'bout saying "sister" cuz of the gender thing... But I always hang around guys (even though I'm a chick. Girls just naturally hate me n my best friend Alex met other freinds so I became pals wit dem too ! :3) and I even use that statement around them to mess around. XD
Neh~ they totally need ta do an episode where rook gets injured and him and ester get trapped somewhere together! Then along the way they get closer and closer till it's a crush relationship! Then a few later, the season finally should be their confession! <3

I know Rook still plays more of a role then Gwen or Kevin have, and he deserves better.

He has an awesome character that they could easily make into a fantastic dialogue! And they'd be drawing in the otaku crowd if they did that! (Btw: otaku means nerd in jappenesse. It's basically people who lov anime and certain characters n genres like me XD)

Well, every good shipment has it's troubles! <3 besides, rook is pretty powerful and has proven to be able to tolerate the heat for a short while. As for Estar, it shows in the show that she can always just wear a coat n that it doesn't bother her that much since she's a half breed.
Plus, it can always be that cute scene (if rook visits) when she asks if he's ok cuz of the heat!

Maybe using my own comment from somewhere else but
I'm curious, to why Rook wanted to become a plumber, It seem that Ben is always in front though. I mean, it is shown that Rook was isolated, did some thing happen that he was rescued, or was it like Rook wanted more out of his life, to do something. this would such a good episode, because we know Ben's past,Β and yet we know nothing about Rook really. why is he protective of other strangers? He has a great respect for life, and yet he treat evil the way it should be treated.

why they must keep Ben only focus is a mystery.
Ben would an good character to get mind controlled, he could easily kill or maim one of his friend doing it, and would more of a challenge to stop Ben. I would pay to see this as a lost episode or something

Yea I totally agree! And honestly, Ben isn't that bad. I do like his character and (besides it being Ben 10) I can see why he's the star.
But it's very bad to completely cast aside the supporting character stories, which they do for rook for some reason! GAH! I'd pay to see him get at least some sort of dialogue or plot! A good story has to have several stories mixed up in it!
See, I'm a writer, and I don't think that Cartoon Network can keep all it's ben fans forever. If they focused more on rook, they'd draw in a whole other crowd! Trust me, if u wanna stay in business, do what the fans want.

From what I've heard, Julie's still in the series but they haven't finished her design for Omniverse yet. Though when she is introduced I'd expect they either will give us a flash back on why there no longer together or do a just have them mention it as Ben is helping Julie with something having to do with an alien(more than likely ship).
Also, yeah Rook is totally awesome! His character is one of the best things to come out of Ben 10 since the original series and the way he fights and uses his Omni tool shows just how bad ass plumbers should be but are never presented with the exception of Max and now Rook.
As for Ben's new attitude and him actually growing up, in toonzone some one mention that the new head of the show is going to steer Ben's future towards his Ben 10,000 counter part in the original series.

Well there's been nothing said about Kai, and because Ben has a new Omnitrix they can't really go towards that future 100 percent. I think that just means they're going to have Ben become more like his Ben 10,000 counter part, after Ben had visited him in the future instead of Ultimate Ben who was 50 shades of boisterous and cocky.
Also, I was looking through the Ben 10 wiki and the description for both Ben 10,000's says that the original was nicknamed Ben 10,000 while the Ultimate nicknamed himself. I don't know why but I found it funny.

That's a good point Ben 10 is a comic book. A ever changing story. Keep the characters and developed them. Gets a new villain seven though the main character already beat what seem to be the biggest bad even and the character still having a hard time beating them. Ben 10's a comic book my god. You just gave me like I don't know what but wow.
