Despite it being finals week I wanted to squeeze some drawing time in to make myself a pride tag for FP since...

it is my first pride month out of the closet as gay !!!!! hello dA I am gay!

I finished the big round of coming out too recently, I told my parents two weeks ago and that was the last of like the inner circle of friends and family so that's cool! That's a thing that happened! I expected the worst and overall it went well with most everyone and some people really surprised me in the best way possible. And the important thing is that it's done as in the past tense!! It still feels super surreal because 2018 has just been a wild ride of emotions to get to June 9th for more reasons than this but here we are. Leading up to it and just spring overall I was just an emotional mess and I ate so, so much ice cream and I was all over the place and I couldn't have done it without my friends, online and off. and now I'm over this big frickin mountain and it's pride month and I don't know what to do with myself. whenever I catch reflection in the mirror honestly im just thinking ‘ur gay’ and having an inside joke with myself and start laughing and have an instant burst of happiness because this just seems like best kind of ridiculous and is still sinking in that I get to be me now.

It’s been weird like all these little things I've noticed, like I’ve been on a muffin baking fix lately and I feel like a pancake movement coming on next and it’s been weird because I’ll be baking and a recipe will turn out right and I’ll get all excited and think about baking food to share with a future SO which I feel like sounds silly but I was just sOO convinced for so long that my only option was to settle and be unhappy and try to make it work with a guy and I just never like, fully imagined situations like this, and now the thought of baking muffins to share with my currently nonexistent girlfriend just feels so wholesome.

anyway that was a ramble 20 years in the making! Happy Pride everyone!
