Oh Lu Bu, When I was about 8.. My mom was playing this, and she would freak out when Lu Bu would join the battle, and when she left the room, I would just grab the controller and beat him! The memories...

He wasn't that hard to beat for me lol but I remember one time when playing DW6Empires my character married him and one of his gifts was Red Hare...I was like, "Being married to Lu Bu rox!"

Lu Bu... a pain in ass to fight against, but pure win when fighting with him.
i dont remember which DW i started on but after a while a playing it i was like well this games sucks... so i decided get one further on in the series thinking it would be much better. i saw 4 had elephants so i got 4... i play it all day and night long and even though i pretty know what is going to happen in each force's mosou mode i still keep playing it cause i want to get all of the items and saddles 
anyways. if i get to a battle that has Lu Bu or i know he is going to come later on i always used a fully leveled character so i can pwn his ass... of course i have no need to take Red Hare from him since i have the Red Hare saddle, but i refuse to put a character that is not fully leveled up against Lu Bu cause i know that he would kill them in two hits
one more thing... do you know where i can find an english translation of Romance of the Three Kingdoms? i dont care if its online or printed i just really want to read it

I made this so long ago and I haven't played in years since then! I should pick it up again. Such a good game

lol, i commented so long ago that im not even on 4 anymore, im now on 6... and thats after taking forever on 4 and 5 to play 95% of the chracters musuo modes and getting all of the items. so i found what i needed
i think you should pick up DW again, its such a good series. though i would go for a newer one for better mechanics and definitely better graphics

The amount of screaming I did when I played Hu Lao Gate for the first time on 5 was unbelievable.. (I'm sure it was 5 anyway.. I tend to play Empires more than the originals..) I think I was playing as Guan Yu. Got to the bit with Lu Bu and thought okay this shouldn't be too difficult. Then he hit me and took half of my health... Guan Yu was on like level 1 then as well. So I spent the rest of the battle stealing Red Hare and running around like a loon until Liu Bei and Zhang Fei (eventually) killed him.
I still like Lu Bu though, for no real reason. Although in 6 Empires when I serve him all he does is tell me i'm useless.

LOL In DW6, there's a certain level you play in Hu Lao gate where Lu Bu can kill in 3 hits!

Once upon a time...in DW2...you could kill Lu Bu with four arrows. Now, they don't make arrows like they used to. XDD
