I'm the last person that likes it when people try to be philosophical, and the reason is because they suck at it. You do not suck at it. This made me think about what you could be referring to.

Maybe you are just sick of all the angst and anger some people have towards DA. That's what your rants are telling me.
Some people will never be satisfied nomater what DA's policy is. They just like to bitch.
As much as I would like to suff a sock in their collective mouth so that they would shut up, I guess we all must put up with them.

Yes indeed. As a general rule people will never be happy with the way things are it seems. People always need something to complain about.
I on the other hand, prefer to find things to be happy about, like your icon for example. Viva Thor!

First off, congratulations on making a daily deviation!
I wish people would learn to be happier. But I think they have a hard time being happy because of moral temperature of the Western World. Everybody wants something for nothing, yet nobody wants to be stolen from. One of the problems in the collective conscious is the confusion between complaisantly and satisfaction with our lives. It has been my contention that one cannot see fitly to advance oneself unless one first becomes satisfied with their life. It's too easy to blame others for our own failures and impatient.
The vast majority of artists that complain about art theft are not the big name established artists who have been around for years in the fandom. They are more commonly small time artists who haven't been around nearly as long, but think they can become overnight successes because they have some talent. I've noticed tremendous amounts of jealousy in some artists right here on DA against big names like Michele Light, Dark Natasha, J.Bernal, and Terrie Smith. These guys don't just deal with the "art theft" that's commonly complained about. They have to contend with outright piracy. Yet, you hardly ever here them complain or act like the end of the world is coming. They just quietly go after the offenders legally.
Did art theft or piracy prevent these artists from becoming successful? No, they did not. So why all the melodrama when somebody "steals" art on DA? All melodrama does is show the low maturity level of an artist and how short a time they have been in the fandom. It's a display that is devoid of class and dignity.
And these people wonder why they aren't making it big. I'm getting mighty sick of all these early 20-something's that think the fandom owes them a living. The fandom is the life blood of their success. So, why do that love to trash it so much. Truly, they must be idiots.
Great artists aren't great just because they have talent. They are great because they treat their fans with respect, have real passion for what they do, and show good customer service when selling prints. Over longer periods of time, talent, respect, passion, and good service all come together to form a great reputation, and it is through that reputation that success can be found.
There is another side to this coin, however. Established artists, who have begun to use the fandom purely as a means to make money, have all suffered in inspiration and feeling. Itβs no longer about the art, itβs about the money for them. Iβd talk about this more, but thatβs for another rant.

Wow, you got a daily deviation! Well Done! By the way, which one was it? And the picture: I'm sure you'll feel better soon! But drawing this good would keep my mind off everything bad!

I had originally put it in scraps. If you don't have scraps checked that could be why it didn't come up.
