I was playing DOA3 non-stop for hours and hours during my absence and my sister was sitting on the couch watching me one day when she starts bringing up something about Hayabusa and Kasumi and a relationship. I said something to the effect that they aren't in a relationship because Haya is taken by that ugly girl from the first ninja gaidens... Aileen or whatever.. Jess was like "Don't ruin my dream, man! I dont like to play the game, but that's the only reason I like it!" So I laughed at her and then came up with alllll sorts of little scenarios that I could like..doujin if I had the.... I forgot the word but it starts with a P! XD Patience? Perserverence? I dont know. XDSo then I drew this. It looks horrible. XD But I like it anyways.

what I don't get, is how they're going to connect to the current Ninja Gaiden story to DOA, it's technically a prequel (discovered by looking at Ayane's age in the first ninja gaiden and then her age in doa(14 and 16 respectively).) Supposedly, Sonia is supposed to be Irene under a classified name, but oh well...

anyways if you look at DOA 1 it tells you the characters yea?
it says~Ryu bears the name"Hayabusa"an honor bestowed upon only the most distinguished of Ninja's from the Hayabusa school. His life was a continuous fight till he meat his love, Aileen{me:YA RIIIght!! -_-] and found satisfaction
and peace. BUT his thirst for challenge returned when he learned that his best friend sister, KASUMI, had disappeared~

Not ONLY that.. but of course, since you've played all the games... What happened in DOA2 when Hayabusa beats Kasumi in the tournament?? She's all sprawled defeated on the ground recovering from K.O. when Hayabusa, all stoic and zenlike standing amidst the fireflies, says "Don't worry, Kasumi...." and disappears!!!
Not ONLY that... but who is it that follows Kasumi around the DOATEC Main building in DOA4 protecting her ass when she's randomly attacked by Helena and ALSO there to cheer her on before her destined battle with Alpha 152..... And.... tells her she can't die. Oh! oh!

I hadn't realized they were married. But y'know I've heard a rumor that with the new Ninja Gaidens that came out... they are now Ryu's REAL storylines and the others are apparently not... so yeah. Don't quote me on that cuz its only second hand information... but it gives me hope. 
At the same time I was reading an interview with Itagaki, the dude over Team Ninja [formerly, anyways. Sexual Harrasment apparently got the better of him. LOL!] which said that these new Ninja Gaidens are actually BETWEEN the oldschool Ninja Gaidens and the DOA games. If that's the case... where is Irene? Oh well.

You know, I had that same scenario happen to me too. As I was playing it as well, my mom was watcing me one day. She thought that Ryu and Kasumi seemed to have an relationship. I was like no way! But now, I'm just like your sister. I have a dream of them being together too. ^^ I mean, even in the movie DOA, it showed a RyuKasumi moment!!!

Oh, and about that old ninja gaiden. I'm thinking that was his Ryu's father. You know why? Because in the new Ninja Gaiden game, Ayane does state: "Or should I say Young Ryu Hayabusa?" Notice: young. Meaning this Ryu just might be Ryu Hayabusa Jr.

Actually.. Agehachou was telling me that Itagaki, head of Team Ninja, actually said that the New Ninja Gaiden marks a new beginning for Ryu and is to be considered his official story [probably so that it integrates w/ the DOA storyline better]. In which case... there was no Aileen and Ryu is free for pairing w/ Kasumi.

Critically? Kasumi NEEDED bangs!!! Tina needed short straight hair like Cameron Diaz had on "Charlie's Angels". Cam's was exactly the same as Tina's. And Christie... having a boyfriend? She's more of a non - caring, cool blooded, assasin. Eventhough that they described her as an assasin, she was lent more as that description of thief. Bayman is not a weak ass, nor a bad guy in my opinion! Leon was not there for whatever reasons they made up. In the game, he was there to prove that his wife's words were not in vain. And the actor did not look Russian, nor did the actor of Bayman. I wanted a better Hayabusa!!! He should of had long brown hair! I don't mind it he did not have blue/green eyes, but for god sakes they should have been more acurate like they did with the actor who played Hayate. He was very passible until they shaved his hair... And Ayane... what? they couldn't find another asain? and the thin string around her hair... was that trying to pass as a bandana? What happened to Helena? She IS suppose to be french!!! WTH? What happened with that whole story with Christie? That was so inferiating...
That's the problems I had with it: it was the look of the characters and some of the other character's roles. Other than that, I loved the story line, the romance, and the action.

lolol, I felt the same way in most cases. It was rediculous how unmatched a lot of the characters were to their video game counterparts. The movie was slightly enjoyable if you get past the bad acting and the lack of Hitomi's presence. XD And also if you get past the MAJOR plot differences between the REAL DOA and the DOA movie. For instance.. Ayane being in "love" with Hayate. While she does adore him.. she does KNOW that he is indeed her half-brother. So watching them makin' out on screen was kind of gross. XD
I *HATED* Hayabusa's actor. He's not a great actor, honestly... [after all, he WAS a Sentai Ranger in Japan, XD]. Pairing people was rediculous. Christie w/ a boyfriend? No. First of all if you read in the book inside DOA3 and 4, it states specifically that she's totally got some kind of attraction to Helena's purity/etc. Christie's a psycho lesbian. Sorry. XD
Tina barely did ANY wrestling moves in the movie. Sure she was trying to get past the "fakeness" of wrestling...but still..Also. Bayman is out to KILL Donovan.. Not be his flunkie... and that was before the first DOA and when Fame Douglas was killed cuz Donovan didn't pay Bayman for it.
So to summarize. I didn't like the movie much.. but I was still amused and excited to watch it. Also, it could have been much worse..... It could have been the street fighter movie.. XD

^^ I like it too. It's really cute, and the couple is ADORABLE. I love Kasumi/Hayabusa, even though Hayabusa has someone else? I don't know, I never played Hayabusa's game, Ninja Gadien or something to that effect. Heh oh well, I can still dream KasumixHayabusa thoughts can't I? Love the fanart!

Wow, Thanks! Yea, Hayabusa supposedly has this girl "Irene" from the original Gaiden games. Even in the booklet for DOA1U it says he's w/ Irene. But ... she's so ugly and even if he IS with her... In my little HayaXKasu universe... He's really always wanted Kasumi. ^__^

She's ugly as HELL too. Have you seen the OVA they made? Not to mention her sprites in the old-school walk-and-punch Gaiden... And she gets kidnapped/killed over and over. What about Kasumi, huh? Heck no. She's hott, a ninja girl, can take care of herself no matter what ninja freak comes her way--e.g. Ayane.

yeah, i know. i've played and beaten all the NG games. lol yes, Kasumi is much better looking. i forever hate Ayane because all throughout the game she'll be standing right there when you're about to fight someone and all she does is throw things at you. what the hell happens if Ayane misses and hits Hayabusa in the leg? what a piece of crap! don't throw deadly weapons at me, help me fight, you retard!
