Description
One of the most important scenes from my large fanfiction novel: The Crystal Siege.Corporal Starfall, the fallen batpony in Luna's service is attacking Sombrian poor soldier from armour forces. She is biting him and sucking blood, what will end by great earth quake in political theatre. Both princess going into trouble.
Mare is from elite "Black Guard", the 88th Airborne Division under Luna's commanding and major Vampeye's. They are defending Equestria and Crystal Empire before communistlike Sombra invasion and his Red Army. Batponies are fighting undercover of darkness and taking special missions like for commandos. But there is a black sheep, undiscyplined and really hungry.

Yes, everything is explained in fanfic. Starfall felt real hunger of hunting, sense of killing. This is dark part of ancient curse. Long time ago some of pegasi warriors tried to hunt, kill and eat other ponies. Unicorns in defence cursed them and turned into batponies.
Hundreads years later Princess Luna prohibitet any canibalism and vampyrism. This problem dissappeared for millenium... but returned, when cruel war awaken lost instincts.

No. This is Luna's special forces like commandos. 88th Airborne Division contains three battalions:
1st Self-operational battalion "Silver Lightning"
2nd Self-operational battalion "Daybreak"
3rd Bodyguard battalion of Luftmare's protector - Princess Luna - "Tight Sleep"
Starfall comed from second battalion.
