^u^; Dark elf fella in a story I'm writing. His appearance is the most defined so far in the story, so I thought to do his portrait first and then focus some extra time on main characters who need extra defining.
The story is set in Ancardia, which is the setting of ADOM, but I have expanded it a bit and changed it so much that it's no longer the same thing. The biggest change is that "Always Chaotic Evil" and "Always Lawful Good", as well as the automatic association of darkness with evil and light with good, is bunk and there is a far more nuanced and realistic system of cultures and morality goin' about. XD Something kind of rare in any of the DnD-derivative fantasy type stuff.

Now that I think about it, it would actually be super easy to explain dark elves, orcs, etc. not being "Always Chaotic Evil" anymore in the ADoM setting!
Like if the story takes place a decently long time after the whole "chaos-radiation-stuff seeping in through the portal and corrupting the world" problem had been dealt with... so those cave-dwelling races that spent a lot more time closer to the source of the chaos infestation (and thus got messed up faster) have had time to get back to their normal state again now, with a normal range of alignment variety rather than being unnaturally shifted toward the chaotic-evil end of the scale.
