Dean Winchester.
The hunter. The hunted.
I remember when I met you.
You were screaming, bleeding, suffering. Crying. You kept calling out,'Sammy'. I didn't know who he was. But you did. I flew over you, unhooking those awful hooks that were stuck underneath your skin. You passed out. Hell took a toll on you. The pain, emotionally and physically, overloaded your 'circuts'.
I pulled you out.
And I'd do it again.
Over and over.
Until time ends.
I remember when I had to rebuild your soul. Believe it or not, you were frightened. Not consiouse, but I could feel your fear. I involuntarily held your hand. It seemed to calm the fear a bit, and the other angels laughed at me.
I didn't know what it meant.
I swear.
But again, I'd do it again.
I remember when we met in person. Jimmy Novak, bless his soul, was an amazing person. Troubled, but still good. I crashed into the barn when you summoned me, and walked in. There you were. Horrified, but there. Sparks sizzled around us, but I focused more on your eyes.
Then you stabbed me.
I felt almost nothing, because it was iron. I noticed how terrified you were, mixed in with fake rage. I slowly slid the blade out of my chest, in order to show you I am not the enemy. When that didn't work, I outstretched my wings. Slowly, at a reasonable speed, so you can take it in. Your green eyes were wide, but you still doubted that my kind existed.
But I would do it again.
Over and over.
I remember your laugh. Your voice. Your hugs. They were special. I noticed how other gave petty, weak hugs. You were different. You put you weight into my arms, digging your fingers into my shoulder blades, and tucking your head under my shoulder. I could smell old soap and alcohol. The scent still stings my nostrils up to this day. YOUR scent.
Dean, I remember the first time you caught me watching you sleep. I stood there, admiring you. Your eyes fluttered open, and soon your body spasmed as you tried to sit up. Anger filled your voice, and I hung my head low.
But I did it again.
Over and over.
Until time ends.
Dean Winchester... I'll watch over you... ALWAYS."
He said as he stroked the face of the cold, limp, body of the hunter under his protective wing.
