I went down to Floriade (a flower show) on our recent long weekend with my lovely girlfriend Jen and her friends Fi and Jeff - it turned out to be an absolutely beautiful day, perfect for taking some shots of the flowers. This shot is one of many and I haven't touched it up at all, so I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out. Still, I know I'm still pretty green to all this stuff, so feel free to tell me how I could have done it better!Thanks for checking it out, God bless...

I love this! The saturation is amazing, and the sky is so blue that it makes you want to jump right into it! And the flowers are so bright and full of life....I'm actually jealous right now! Here in Germany we're in the middle of autumn already, and it's 6°C , so I spend the whole day freezing at university, since they didn't turn the heating on! And you have this perfectly amazing weather and growing tulips...sigh...
This shot is just perfect! To answer your question, I can't find a single thing that could possibly have been done better! I love it!

What a beautiful shot! --It's so cheery ^_^ one thing you could have done better is focused on a different flower....but it's lovely in its own unique way. Great job

yeah, i'm probably going to need to get a digital slr (or just an slr) to be able to focus on individual items and things...the dof with a Sony Cybershot is a little hard to control...

I still say you're a Tinkerbell for turning down the guys to go and see /flowers/.....
But this is a great shot. Jude was showing me her tulips, but yours is sooo different. Where she shot down, you shot up - and I LOVE the way the yellow tulips contrast so brightly with the blue sky. Great saturation too. Nice clarity

yeah, i thought i'd go for a slightly different angle on the flowers - i took some from above as well, but the sky was so beautifully clear i thought it'd be a waste not to use it. I've got a similar shot with some red tulips that i might post later - they're a bit more spaced out and look equally fantastic against the sky...
thanks for the comment - considering i didn't do any PS work on this at all (beyond a slight crop and adding the border), i'm pretty happy with it...
