Description The head of the dragon was posed on the ground.

The one who cut it was there, holding the sword still reddened with the monster's blood. Blood was never cleaned immediately from the sword: it was there to show that the monster had been killed by the one who was holding the sword...

The head had been brought there, prepared according to the rituals of the priests: eyes and mouth opened and cleaned from any blood that might have stained sacred places. In the background you can see the stairs leading to the place where the head will be burnt. The head of the monsters had to be destroyed that way because in the head is the mind of that evil creature and it must be purified. And when the mind will be burnt, evil will have disappeared...

For you, Stacy!

Here is the second render in my series VISIONS. This time, I used Vella, the wonderful and beautiful character by my Friend Stacy (Kaleya). I love vella: she is a versatile and very special character.

I chose the perfect Lethe hair by Mairy and Plus3D. It is a marvelous hair and I chose that spread hair style because it is symbolizing the power of the warrioress.

Vella is walking on tiptoe because even if she is a warrioress, she is a beautiful and graceful woman.

I also wanted to give the render the look of some english paintings of the 19th century... The light was therefore elaborate and the scene was very long to render.

The scene was created in Poser 7 and rendered in VUE 6 Pro Studio.

Thank you very much for your comment on my render... I appreciate and I am very proud at the same time...

The software is VUE 6 Pro Studio (e-onsoftware.com). I chose it because the render engine is very powerful and allows a maximum of flexibility while a very high render quality can be achieved.

It is sometimes slow (40 hours for this render) depending on the render options and elements in the scene (transparencies and reflections are very long to render).

In fact, my method is simple:

I build my scene in POSER 7 and I import it in VUE. I search for the best camera settings (angle of view, format, centering) and I save my scene.

Then I work on the atmosphere and lights. It is the most important part. It is here that everything is different for each render because the light and atmosphere are sometimes very difficult to setup. I generally save many versions of each scene because once I alter something important, it is better to save a copy of the previous one. I also very often render the scene in preview mode because it is a way to check if it does progress correctly. Many interesting effects are possible and it is another reason why I chose VUE.

But once again, the lighting is the most important part in the scene because two scenes have a completely different lighting.

I work a lot on the lighting because I generally do not postwork my renders (this render is unpostworked). Sometimes I do but not very often and always very few (when I am obligated...).

I must say that some scenes take days before being ready to render... I work slowly!

Thank you again for your comment. It is a real reward for me...
