Description You may have noticed my DitR reaction comics look a little different than normal Walfas. That's because I picked up some faux HDR techniques back in my Gmod days. While I can't give you a full tutorial, here are a few techniques:

-NOTE: For all of these, adjust the opacity until it looks right.
-Duplicate the image, invert the color, and set the layer properties to Overlay for more even color.
-Duplicate the image, increase the levels so only the bright colors show, add thick Gaussian blur, then set the layer properties to Screen/Lighten Only for bloom.
-Add a new layer, use the eyedropper tool on the light, smear a bunch of solid paint on it, add thick Gaussian blur, then set layer properties to Screen/Lighten Only for lighting effects.
-Add a new layer, put black under the characters, add thick Gaussian Blur, then set to Multiply for shadows.
-Copy the visible picture, paste it, turn off the effect layers, and adjust the opacity of this new layer to adjust overall layer effects.

Just a few tips for AWESOME Walfas images.

Cool, does this technique only work on one paint program or is it use by all paint programs with the exception of MSPaint? I only use GIMP.

It's done in Gimp, but I learned it in Photoshop. Any layered image editor can do it.
