Benrey left their home to go on a small adventure and hasn't come back since, loving the life in the wild too much. They are a very free spirit and felt caged up in the urban home they lived in before. Besides, living out in the wild gave them ample opportunity to learn more about the world, and most importantly, pull more pranks than they previously could.
Benrey isn't exactly the kindest fumi, and it isn't unusual for them to be snarky or even outright mean, though they often don't actually mean to be mean, having a very bad understanding of what is too far or not and what is considered hurtful. They also have nearly no understanding of social cues, especially among other fumis, due to living alone, only having their human who cared for them graciously.
Benrey does miss their human and feels bad for just leaving them, but would never give up this freedom to return to their old home - and besides, it's been a long time since they left, they wouldn't want to open that scar back up.
Benrey loves jokes and pranks, and can be quite childish. Their pranks are usually light-hearted, but sometimes they take it too far and someone gets hurt. It's part of the reason why they're not very well liked by many of the fumis that have met them, aside from most being afraid of them anyways for their freaky appearance. This lack of positive socialization often results in them feeling angry, upset and hurt, which made them start to lash out at newcomers when not planning a prank. They started finding a joy for picking fights through which they try to vent out these bad feelings, though they know it's not right, but not really caring for that.
