I promised some SPN art a while ago, and lookie here, almost a decade later it's here!Yeah, so. This is what I think of the finale.
I just imagined Cas goin'all Cartman on the bros.
Quite honestly, though?
I'm fuckin happy Castiel grew some balls and took business into his own hands. I really hope they won't make him turn back to the "good side" next season. It'd be really interesting to see him subconsciously becoming more evil and power thirsty, while still firmly believing that what he's doing is righteous.
But that's just me I guess..

YAY SPN disccusion time!
So, every season, there is a fight between the Windchester brothers... it always has to do with family. 1st- their dad- they had fights trying to find him 'who is more dedicated' style fights,
thenm in second season, it was 'fear the crazy sam power' fights, and the, whoa bro, what? and they fought yellow eyes.|
then, in the 3rd, it was all 'dude, why you no keep soul?!?!' and they fought. Dean's battle against the immenant doom of his humanity blasted into veiw.
4th- battle against starting the apocolypse. Cas comes from essetially an abusive family. He wasn't allowed to feel any emotion, or think for himself. Deans influance made him feel more human, which is frowned at in heaven at this time. Dean is battleing sam, and himself, as he wont talk about hell, and Sam is drinking demon's blood. Cas begins to envy Deans ability to sttnad up for what he believes in... and so he does. He risks it all, with the thoughts of 'well, when my brothers find you, since they are more powerful than I, I shall die....' and it happens. Devil released crazy crazy
5th- battle against trust. Dean cant trust sam any more because of what the hell he went and did. Sam wants dean to see that he did it for 'earth' because he saw it as something to save. Cas is compleatly confused. he was brought back, presumably by god, and he seems to only be able to help sam and dean. like a lost child, terrified in the mall, he looks for his father. his only parental guidance, that is supposed to be there for him, no matter the problem. he begins to emlate dean. Sam and dean eventually make up due to the oncomming apocolypse, and sams possible evil times. they defeat devil, san is dead in deans eyes. his severing from his brother causes him to seek the same amount of sub concuis comfort in Lisa. Ben and lisa become what sam was to him= emotional comfort. Cas however is now compleatly alone, as he figures his father does not love, nor care about anyone.,.. especally him.
6th- Sam is found to be alive. Dean is mad he said nothing. Castiel is getting the shit beaten out of him daily for his actions of help to the bros. sam and dean battle each other, as they do bobby for a bit as well. Castiel compleatly captured in his mind that the only way he can save the world, is to absorb the souls of the forgotten. sam and dead battle in their own way, and cas, desprate to claim the affections of his only friends, pretends nothing is wrong, much like with sam and dead in previous seasons. he fights his inner struggle silently, and when shit starts to go down he panics, still trying to save the only semblance of humanity he keeps at hand. Sam and Dean do not understand to the fullest his family situation, as although they had an abandon father, they didn't have abusive brothers. When dean confronts him, and tells him he is like his brother, cas is only forsed to have a responce of what he has been trained to 'stop, or what will you do to me?' cas does this as responce to his other brothers always hurting him for doing something. so when they were friends, it was different, now that they are brothers, there is pain that enforses it to him. he doesn't understand what it mewans to have a family in such a manner. Cas is unsure of how to behave as an older bro, when in reality, it's always going to be dean that is older. Cas pleads for his father to tell him what to do. in his discomfort, he calls out for a semblance of normailty, and is left abandoned again. Cas rebels. He rebels against himself, his friends, and his allys as well. when he does, be becomes a god. knowing that no one can hurt him like his father had, or his family, he gets a biut cocky, and is like, well, now I wont be the younger, weaker brother... now I can take control of my life. Sam and Dean will not kill him, and Cass won't become evil, but he'll become just anotehr windchester brother fight. He'll also become power hungry, because in his experiance, power= freedom, and freedom=control.
Can't wait to see how they place his mind in the next season, good art! you made me tangent!|

Hm, your theory about Cas there is possibly not even that far off.
I haven't looked at it from that perspective so far, so it's quite a refreshing insight on his way of thinking.
Another reason for him wanting to gain the status of god is possibly to do things he believes the true god should've been doing all this time, instead of being absent during a time he was greatly needed. But there's hundreds of reasons why. We'll probably find out next season C: at least I hope so.
The brothers... oh well. Of course they're fighting a lot. It's what siblings do. I don't know anybody who's on good terms with somebody they have to endure each other's presence all the time C:

good point... My sister and I don't always get along...
and the theory about him wanting to be what he believes god should be could be entirely possible. And it would make perfect sense as to why they had followed hie 'god-dom after the show clearly shows him pleading to his 'father'. it would show that he is completely sick of being ignored, and this is his way of lashing out. I like it!
plus... they kill enemy's... I don't want to see Misha Collins get bumped off just yet, he's too awesome for that.
Perhaps they will try and get an enemy to attempt to feed of the 'righteousness' he believes he is preforming... hmm...
I shall continue to ponder until it is released!

I've seen trailers and such.
I'm not the biggest fan of these kinds of animated movies, there are exceptions but I generally try to avoid them unless I'm forced to watch them or if they have outstanding feedback. :S

There would be A LOT more impala and Bobby and a lot less apocalypse replacement disasters and a lot more good ol' monster hunting.
And I would make Dean's nightmarish illusion with Ben and Azazel from season6ep1 happen. Now THAT was a plotline that they should've persecuted.
