Okay, this is the first time that I ever tried really doing a background on photoshop that I didn't just slap on there . . . It's done with a touchpad, so if it's not the best quality you'll know why.

In any case, this is a picture of a character of mine named Alex . . . though his name is subject to change. (I don't do that a lot, but it happens.) In any case, he's the leader of this group of refugees, people that are all like him and are outcasted because of their wings and some of the things that come along with them. It's set in a kind of futuristic thing . . . well, unfortunately for all of them, there are quite a few countries currently at war and tons of scientists that work for the military that would just love to see what makes them work the way they do so that they may genetically enhance their armies . . . and also another unfortunate thing, the experimentations aren't too pretty and most that end up with it die, so they've all gone into hiding to protect themselves.

Alex wasn't exactly a self-appointed leader. He just kind of emerged as the leader and he grows to regret it sometimes with all the pressure that gets put on him. When things take a turn for the worse with the group that he kind of governs (a good few hundred of them) he's pressured into fighting back against the oppression and such.

He often takes time to himself to clear his thoughts. This is him in his favorite spot, thinking and having his little spiritual moment. Leaders need help too. ^^ Truth is, he's very doubful that he'll ever acheive what he wants to and says that they're called dreams because they'll never be real . . . *sigh* Poor guy . . . so much pressure and stuff. . .

And I'm rambling. XP

The story's still in the works and there are still plenty of other characters to think about, so maybe I'll post the story and get the rest of the characters drawn sometime or another.
