Description Clay doing an oversplit!

I've had this image in my mind of him doing and oversplit and from this angle, looking back over his shoulder like: 'Ta da!'

Buuuuut, I'm not sure this is the exact image I had in mind. It's kind of hard to tell what he's doing. But I have this pictuer . . . . I'm not sure if this is worth coloring or not.

Wow... My legs are aching just from looking at it. I hope he can walk after this.

And please do color it! I'd love to see this in color!

Whooa, first of all i must say it's sooo cool you moved contortion to the country side where one would least expect to see it And i absolutely love the idea to use hitching rails. Makes contortion feel so new and refreshing! I wonder what gave him the idea to do the splits since it must be uncommon where he lives, perhaps something he saw when he was a kid?

Either way that's a great pose, both the angle between his legs and the camera angle! It's not confusing at all and it looks 100% like a candidate for inking and coloring. The only thing that confused me is that both of his boots look so symmetrical that they could be worn on either leg, so it took me a little while to figure out which leg went where XD

I also really like the balance he has, there's something about the position of his arms that makes it look like he's actually pretty stable but it takes quite some skill to balance on his legs alone. You also somehow made his body look heavy, the whole picture really has the feel of gravity which really compliments the stretchy pose ^_^

This particular character is a martial artist. He's more bendy than your average farmhand. ^^ Originally, I was going to have this split caused by a naughty horse that didn't want to hold still for mounting, but the image I had in my mind wasn't accidental, so maybe he's showing off for some friends.

Craig: Hey Clay! Show Jason that thing you can do!
Clay: Y'mean this? *bends*
Jason: Auugh! Oh my God, that hurts me just looking at it! I hope you don't want any kids!
Clay: *snort!*

Damn, I wish I was that flexible. When ever I see your drawings I get so jealous at the flexibility of your characters, there bodies art pure poetry in motion. Me, I'm a coward .. I could never try something like that with out being afraid.

I have to say that really makes me sad.

I have friends who hear I do yoga and say things like: 'I could never do that! I would fall over!' and I say: 'I fall over sometimes. I just get up and try again.'

You can't be afraid of failure when you try something new. It is new to you; you don't know how to do it and you are going to fail at first. But if you keep trying it, you're going to learn how. That's what learning is, it's a sucessive series of failures. You fail a lot at first, then less and less as you go on.

Nobody's perfect at something from the start.

I may act tough but in reality I'm often afraid of most things, I try my best to have a gentle touch. I'm a pretty strong girl though, so that why I have to watch out when I handle things. I tried doing a hand stance and smashed my head into the door in my room, I just laid on my floor petrified. I thought I literally killed myself. Ever since than I've been afraid to try anything like that. Thanks for your words, I admit that I'm still scared but I'll try.
